INTERIOR DESIGN

Robert Marinelli is an accomplished American designer specializing in architectural renovations, interior design and project management. Each project is approached as a unique expression of the client’s particular vision and the physical context, rather than a vehicle for a rigid aesthetic or signature style. Marinelli believes that the exterior architecture of a building and its interior spaces are in a dynamic dialogue and that the overall design vocabulary created for a space should unite the two, whether this be realized by continuity or contrast. His emblematic interiors are neither minimalistic nor immoderate, but rather reflect an eclectic union that is both timeless and spontaneous. While embracing historical references, he is also a devotee of iconic designs and emerging artists. Robert infuses spaces with a mix of compelling materials and textures, grounded by singular color palettes and dramatic lighting that collectively bring the interiors and objects to life. He employs an intuitive approach to space planning and favors open rooms and unconventional furniture plans that offset architectural form, create engaging compositions and promoting a lifestyle of wellbeing. Marinelli’s work has been featured in leading print and digital publications. He maintains studios in New York and Los Angeles.
